Senior, Software Engineer - Cloud Automation

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Automation to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role will lead technical work focused on secure, reliable systems and risk-aware execution. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a manufacturing environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain account vending machine with control policies
• Design and operate shared networks including Direct Connect and VPN
• Manage cloud security posture with SIEM, IAM, and compliance tools
• Deploy and operate shared infrastructure, such as EKS and ECS clusters
• Maintain and improve CI/CD infrastructure and build tooling
• Manage package and artifact distribution systems
• Drive cloud cost visibility and efficiency
• Collaborate with various teams to support their AWS workflows
• Contribute to technical decisions and operational standards

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Hands-on AWS experience with multi-account Organizations, IAM, networking, EKS/ECS, and security services
• Strong expertise in Terraform for infrastructure as code, with module design and state management at scale
• Understanding cloud security fundamentals: IAM, least-privilege design, compliance, security posture management
• Familiar with CI/CD systems for build, test, and artifact workflows
