Senior Software Engineer, Backend - Platform (Payments)

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer Backend - Platform (payments) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. You’ll build and maintain systems that power mission-critical Finance & Insurance workflows. You’ll collaborate with product and peers to design clean, scalable solutions. This role values craftsmanship, impact, and ownership.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $186,065 – $218,900 annually.

Responsibilities

• Build new services to fulfill key product and business needs using Golang
• Design scalable systems to resolve unique challenges with modern cloud solutions
• Articulate a long-term vision for backend systems maintenance and scalability
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and leadership to create actionable product roadmaps
• Write well-tested code to meet customer requirements

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining production services
• Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code
• Strong passion for creating an open financial system
• Skilled in using generative AI tools and applying them effectively
