For our client, we are seeking a Senior Quantum Software Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Telecommunications & Hardware environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $152,000 – $287,500 annually

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain HPC-quantum libraries and APIs focusing on tensor networks
  • Translate quantum research concepts into production-ready software for the company’s ecosystem
  • Own new functionality from design to productization
  • Enhance library quality and performance through re-architecture and modern practices
  • Collaborate with product management and partners to define requirements and contribute to roadmaps

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Strong proficiency in C++ and Python, with GPU-accelerated programming experience
  • Background in numerical linear algebra and tensor network algorithms
  • Experience with quantum simulation techniques and ownership of large-scale projects
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills across multidisciplinary teams
