Senior Product Designer, Design Systems

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Product Designer Design Systems to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $156,400 – $202,400 annually

Responsibilities

• Own the design patterns and component compositions for product experiences across platforms
• Design reusable components with a focus on high-quality craft, including various states and interaction models
• Establish and maintain cohesive interaction patterns for a unified product experience
• Continuously evolve the design system to integrate modern UI patterns and platform standards
• Create accessible and actionable documentation, outlining best practices and decision-making frameworks
• Facilitate team adoption of the design system through onboarding and hands-on support
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the design system integrates seamlessly with AI-driven tools
• Contribute to the structure and taxonomy of the design system for clarity and usability across AI tools

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product design experience focused on evolving design systems in a product company
• In-depth knowledge of platform conventions for iOS, Android, and web applications
• Exceptionally high craft standards for visual design and component creation
• Expert proficiency in Figma, including component architecture and auto-layout
• Familiarity with design-to-code tooling such as Storybook and GitHub, enabling close collaboration with engineering
• Strong ability to write clear, actionable documentation for design guidelines
• Interest in AI-driven evolution of design systems and their impact on team effectiveness
• Commitment to accessibility standards (WCAG AA) for inclusive design
