This role will focus on building and optimizing high-performance mobile experiences and supporting backend systems that power a large-scale consumer product. You will own end-to-end development efforts, helping to improve reliability, delivery speed, and overall technical quality. The position also partners closely with product, design, and engineering teams to define requirements and deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $214,000 – $222,000 annually

Responsibilities

Design and optimize large-scale Android and backend systems
Develop high-performance mobile and backend solutions
Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle for applications
Create and maintain pipelines for rapid software delivery
Ensure security and compliance in the software development lifecycle
Collaborate with teams to define technical requirements
Perform additional duties as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
5+ years of experience in mobile or backend software engineering
2+ years of advanced Android development with MVVM/MVI architecture
2+ years of experience in Kotlin, Java, and SQL programming
2+ years with CI/CD automation tools such as Buildkite or GitHub Actions
2+ years in Agile environments with strong Git skills
Proficiency with Jira, Figma, or similar collaboration tools
