Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This role will own AI solution delivery end-to-end, from early intake and validation through deployment and monitoring in production. The position partners closely with senior stakeholders to establish strong standards for model evaluation, governance, and safe release of patient-facing capabilities. It also focuses on building reusable AI orchestration layers, scalable model-serving patterns, and practical cloud-enabled integrations that improve how healthcare teams deliver and operationalize AI.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $145,000 – $165,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Own AI solutions end-to-end, from intake to deployment and monitoring in production.
• Set validation standards to ensure un-vetted features do not reach patients.
• Build comprehensive agentic layers for AI integrations and orchestration.
• Architect on the company AI platform, ensuring consistent model serving and monitoring tools.
• Define acceptance criteria and evaluation methods before development begins.
• Run projects through AI intake and risk categorization to ensure governance is embedded from the start.
• Create reusable assets with each engagement to contribute back to shared resources.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of experience delivering product-grade software, particularly AI-powered features to production.
• Strong background in probabilistic software, evaluating models, and understanding failure modes.
• Proven ability to set and maintain a validation standard among senior stakeholders.
• Exceptional product delivery instincts, capable of refining vague requests into validated designs.
• Proficiency in Python and practical cloud engineering, particularly with APIs, AWS, and Bedrock.
