Senior Data Scientist - Risk

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Data Scientist - Risk to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering to shape architecture for risk systems and tooling
• Define risk metrics and decision frameworks with cross-functional teams
• Analyze fraud and abuse patterns across crypto and fiat products
• Maintain reporting on fraud loss and operational efficiency
• Design data and decisioning systems for risk operations
• Evaluate risk rules and controls through analysis
• Communicate insights to senior stakeholders

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role
• Experience with fraud, risk, trust and safety, AML, or compliance analytics
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience in deep analytics, including ML techniques for regression, classification, and causal inference
• Ability to connect analytical work to customer and risk outcomes
• Familiarity with cloud data warehouses and modern tooling
• Outstanding communication skills for translating analysis into actionable insights
