For our client, we are seeking a Principal Software Engineer, Site Reliability to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will shape high-impact initiatives at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution. You will partner across technical and business teams to turn complex ideas into scalable solutions and meaningful outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to influence both roadmap priorities and long-term organizational capability.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $195,300 – $270,400 annually
Responsibilities
- Lead and advocate for SRE principles across engineering teams
- Collaborate with leadership on reliability and observability strategies
- Champion performance metrics to enhance system visibility
- Develop self-healing systems to reduce downtime
- Improve incident response processes for Machine Learning systems
- Work with Development Productivity to increase engineering efficiency
- Drive cross-functional projects from inception to execution
Qualifications
- 10+ years in Software Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering
- Track record as an SRE thought leader driving best practices
- Strong communication and mentoring abilities
- Proficient in Python, Go, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experienced with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
- Skilled in performance monitoring and observability tools
- Hands-on experience with LLM/GenAI to enhance SRE processes
