Principal Software Engineer, Corporate AI

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Software Engineer Corporate AI to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space. You’ll build and maintain systems that power mission-critical Consumer Technology workflows. You’ll collaborate with product and peers to design clean, scalable solutions. This role values craftsmanship, impact, and ownership.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $256,300 – $346,700 annually.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the technical vision for AI and data initiatives aligned with organizational strategies
• Design, develop, and deploy high-performance AI systems and data pipelines from conception through production
• Make strategic architectural decisions to solve complex AI and platform challenges while ensuring system resilience
• Identify and implement opportunities to simplify systems and enhance developer productivity
• Drive innovation in intelligence models and data engineering to achieve measurable business impact

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional experience in software engineering, focusing on intelligent workflows, enterprise scale AI adoption, and data engineering
• Proven experience leading large, multi-team technical initiatives from conception to production
• Strong architectural judgment with the ability to balance short-term delivery and long-term sustainability
• Demonstrated capacity to influence across teams through collaboration and sound decision making
• Experience mentoring engineers and raising the technical standards of an organization
