For our client, we are seeking a Principal Mobile Software Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will shape high-impact initiatives at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution. You will partner across technical and business teams to turn complex ideas into scalable solutions and meaningful outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to influence both roadmap priorities and long-term organizational capability.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $195,300 – $270,400 annually
Responsibilities
- Drive the technical strategy for mobile applications, ensuring scalability and performance
- Build foundational React Native systems to support rapid feature development for iOS and Android
- Collaborate with product and design teams to launch impactful user-facing features
- Shape APIs and enhance client-server interaction to streamline development processes
- Identify and eliminate friction in the mobile development lifecycle, focusing on tooling and quality assurance
- Mentor fellow engineers, promoting a culture of learning and technical excellence
- Influence overall product and platform direction as the company scales its mobile initiatives
Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, focusing on mobile apps
- Proficient in React Native and at least one native platform (Swift/Objective-C or Kotlin/Java)
- Strong understanding of mobile performance and platform-specific challenges
- Experience leading architectural planning and engineering decision-making
- Excellent communication skills, especially in cross-functional team settings
- Demonstrated ownership of projects from design to delivery, prioritizing long-term solutions
