For our client, we are seeking a Principal Data Scientist - Gen AI to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a consumer-facing environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $143,000 – $286,000 annually

Responsibilities

Process large-scale datasets to create and maintain 3D assets for the company’s catalog
Develop advanced deep learning models for image generation, classification, and object detection
Build and manage ML/DL model pipelines with an emphasis on efficiency and scalability
Collaborate with product teams and external partners for ML application integrations
Enhance the Computer Vision ML pipeline through research and improved techniques

Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, specializing in computer vision and/or machine learning
5 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools, and at least 3 years in deep learning
Experience in deploying machine learning models and building production pipelines
Proficient in TensorFlow, PyTorch, Docker, C++, Python, and Unix
Research experience with publications in machine learning or computer vision
