For our client, we are seeking a Lead Data Scientist Property Catastrophe Modeling & Geo-analytics to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. You’ll play a key role delivering outcomes for customers and stakeholders in the Finance & Insurance space. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally and take ownership of priorities. This role offers visibility, growth, and impact.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $118,664 – $230,619 annually.
Responsibilities
- Direct analytical initiatives utilizing data and machine learning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions
- Present findings and make recommendations to management
- Oversee performance monitoring and optimization opportunities
- Integrate new data sources and develop documentation
- Create data repositories and automate reporting procedures
- Lead a small team, managing day-to-day operations and onboarding
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in math, statistics, or computer science; Master's preferred
- 5+ years in data mining and statistical analysis
- 5+ years with SQL and statistical software (Python, R, SAS)
- 1+ year in P C insurance industry
- Experience leading projects and mentoring
