For our client, we are seeking a Director, Public Sector Marketing to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.
This role will lead the strategy and execution of public sector marketing initiatives across U.S. Federal and state, local, and education audiences. You will build demand generation programs that drive awareness, pipeline creation, and customer expansion while closely partnering with sales, product marketing, and solutions teams. The position also requires a strong focus on compliant messaging, partner collaboration, and budget stewardship in a highly regulated market.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $176,200 – $251,210 annually
Responsibilities
- Develop an integrated marketing strategy for U.S. public sector aligned with pipeline and revenue goals
- Build and execute a comprehensive marketing plan for awareness, demand creation, and customer expansion
- Create omni-channel demand generation campaigns tailored to Federal and state, local, and education audiences
- Align marketing initiatives with public sector sales plays and target accounts
- Collaborate with solutions and product marketing to craft compliant messaging for government buyers
- Leverage AI tools to create and optimize personalized content and campaigns
- Design joint campaigns with strategic public sector partners and distributors
- Manage the marketing budget while reviewing pipeline and program ROI
- Ensure compliance with government procurement requirements across all marketing programs
Qualifications
- 10+ years of B2B marketing experience, with a strong focus on integrated demand generation and pipeline creation
- Proven experience marketing cybersecurity solutions to U.S. public sector audiences, including Federal and SLED
- Demonstrated success planning and executing omni-channel campaigns with measurable impact
- Hands-on experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms, including AI-enabled tools
- Strong writing and storytelling skills for varied public sector stakeholders
- Track record of effective collaboration in a matrixed environment
- Proven ability to manage and optimize a marketing budget with data-driven decision-making
- Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; MBA preferred
