Director of Marketing & Business Development

For our client, we are seeking a Director of Marketing & Business Development to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space.

This role will drive market strategy and business development efforts across semiconductor materials and adjacent electronics applications. The position will combine market intelligence, customer insight, and cross-functional collaboration to identify growth opportunities and shape go-to-market direction. The director will work closely with Sales and Product Management to translate emerging trends into actionable priorities and business outcomes.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of semiconductor market dynamics and customer needs
• Monitor and analyze emerging technologies and competitive activity to inform strategy
• Maintain segment reporting, including TAM/SAM definitions and analysis
• Collaborate with Sales and Product Management on market intelligence from customer feedback
• Represent the company at industry events to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership
• Identify and drive new strategic opportunities in electronic materials
• Lead early-stage development programs and oversee project execution

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred in a relevant field
• 10+ years of experience in semiconductor materials or related fields
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in strategy and business development
• Strong analytical and executive-level presentation skills
• Experience developing market-driven technology roadmaps and customer relationships
• Must have U.S. person status
