Director of Data Science - Patient Experience (Remote)

For our client, we are seeking a Director of Data Science - Patient Experience (Remote) to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This leader will oversee data science efforts that shape patient experience and inform product decisions in a healthcare environment. The role will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Research to turn insights into improvements that support engagement, retention, and overall business performance. It also includes hands-on analysis, experimentation, and team leadership to help guide data-driven strategy.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $130,000 – $160,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead data analyses to develop product features addressing consumer pain points
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers
• Manage a dedicated data science team focused on business and product performance
• Design and conduct experiments to inform product planning
• Translate technical findings into actionable strategies that support user engagement and retention
• Drive personal projects while guiding analysts in their tasks

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science, Math, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields
• 5+ years in data analytics or data science with cross-functional support
• Proven people management experience
• Ability to communicate technical data insights to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong expertise in statistical analysis and A/B testing
• Deep understanding of product analytics and marketplace metrics, with practical experience translating insights into actions
