Data Scientist - Interactive Safety Visualizations and Reporting

For our client, we are seeking a Data Scientist - Interactive Safety Visualizations and Reporting to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space.

This role will focus on transforming complex operational and safety data into clear, actionable visualizations and reporting tools. You will partner with technical and business stakeholders to build scalable analytical applications that improve data trust, reporting consistency, and decision-making. The position also plays an important role in supporting timely refreshes, performance optimization, and automation across the reporting workflow.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $129,400 – $198,400 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive safety visualizations for data interpretation
• Build and maintain intuitive dashboards and analytical applications
• Develop data marts and analytical products for scalable reporting
• Define and curate business logic for metric reporting and comparisons
• Establish data-quality checks to improve metric trust
• Optimize data preparation and workflows for performance
• Automate reporting to provide comprehensive metric context

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience in data science, analytics engineering, or data visualization
• Strong programming experience with Python and SQL
• Experience developing interactive Python-based visualizations or analytical applications
• Experience designing data models, analytical tables, or data pipelines
• Experience supporting hourly or intra-day data refreshes and application performance
• Strong problem-solving mindset and proactive attitude toward learning
