For our client, we are seeking a Data Scientist, FP&A Solutions to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.
This role will focus on applying advanced analytics and data science to financial planning and analysis processes that support better business decisions.
You will partner closely with FP&A and business leaders to improve forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario planning through scalable analytical models and automation.
In addition, you will work across data engineering and finance stakeholders to strengthen data quality, streamline workflows, and deliver actionable insights for leadership.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $109,000 – $196,020 annually
Responsibilities
- Partner with FP&A and business leaders to leverage data science in improving financial processes
- Develop Python-based analytical models and automation for financial use cases
- Build and maintain datasets and analytical workflows using Snowflake and SQL
- Create predictive models for financial metrics and business performance
- Automate recurring FP&A processes and conduct variance analysis
- Design scenario models for leadership to understand financial outcomes
- Collaborate with Data Engineering to enhance data quality and architecture
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data science or advanced analytics, particularly in FP&A
- Proficient in Python and analytical libraries such as pandas and scikit-learn
- Advanced SQL skills with hands-on experience in Snowflake
- Deep understanding of FP&A concepts like budgeting and forecasting
- Experience developing predictive or machine-learning models on large datasets
- Skilled in building automated analytical workflows
- Strong communication skills to convey technical insights to non-technical stakeholders
