Data Scientist 5 - Games

For our client, we are seeking a Data Scientist 5 - Games to join the team of a leader in the Hospitality & Recreation space. This role will shape high-impact initiatives at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution. You will partner across technical and business teams to turn complex ideas into scalable solutions and meaningful outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to influence both roadmap priorities and long-term organizational capability.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $372,000 – $600,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with games product and cloud gaming stakeholders on data science initiatives
• Design, analyze, and interpret experiments for decision-making in gaming sectors
• Develop ML models to enhance user experience and core gaming technologies
• Conduct data exploration to identify innovative business opportunities
• Act as a strategic thought partner influencing product management and engineering
• Communicate research insights effectively to drive business impact
• Manage ad hoc requests while advancing strategic projects

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with a PhD in a quantitative field or 8+ years with a Master’s degree
• 2+ years of experience as a Data Scientist working with engineering teams
• Proficient in statistical analysis, A/B testing, and statistical modeling
• Experienced in applied machine learning techniques, especially deep learning
• Skilled in SQL and data analysis tools like Python or R
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate business needs into data problems
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
