Chief Principal Software Engineer- Cloud

For our client, we are seeking a Chief Principal Software Engineer- Cloud to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role will lead technical work focused on secure, reliable systems and risk-aware execution. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a manufacturing environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $118,600 – $204,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture for the Azure-based connected vehicle cloud platform
• Develop cloud-native services and APIs while guiding technical direction
• Establish architecture standards and coding practices for high-quality solutions
• Collaborate with embedded engineers and product owners to eliminate technical obstacles
• Drive ongoing optimization of the platform's performance and security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent required
• 8+ years of experience in backend software and API development for cloud-native applications
• Strong programming skills in C#,.NET Core or a similar language
• Proficient with Azure cloud technologies, including Azure Functions, Event Grid, Event Hub, and Azure Communication Services
• Experience with cloud data storage solutions such as SQL and CosmosDB
