Applied Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer (Decision Intelligence)

For our client, we are seeking a Applied Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer (decision Intelligence) to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $160,000 – $170,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Drive the development of ML capabilities within customer-facing SaaS products
• Design robust data and feature pipelines for model development and deployment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed ML into product workflows
• Transition prototypes to production while balancing accuracy and business impact
• Define evaluation strategies to assess model quality and reliability
• Work with Data teams to ensure model performance is upheld by high-quality features
• Manage and optimize cloud data infrastructure for trustworthy insights

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in applied data science or ML engineering, preferably 5+ years
• Strong proficiency in Python and applied ML libraries (e.g., Scikit-Learn, XGBoost)
• Solid SQL expertise essential for data manipulation and retrieval
• Deep understanding of supervised learning, recommendation systems, and statistical modeling
• Familiarity with MLOps frameworks and orchestration tools like Airflow and dbt
• Experience in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
