Content Marketing Manager Job Description
Tipperary Sales Inc., dba La-Z-Boy Southeast, is seeking a dedicated Content Marketing Manager with a passion for creating engaging digital content. This self-motivated individual will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing the companys content strategy, which aims to attract high-qualified customer leads for La-Z-Boy Southeast. This position plays a key role in building brand awareness for La-Z-Boy Southeast utilizing Inbound Marketing methodology to develop content that attracts, engages and delights leads across the marketing and sales funnel through multiple channelsincluding SEO, paid search, organic and paid social, website, email campaigns, video, and other means. With the ultimate goal of driving sales conversions, this person will actively analyze sales attributions and performance metrics to optimize content strategies.

Responsibilities:
- Develop content marketing programs that are optimized for driving traffic and revenue
- Write new content and continually update existing content to engage target audience across multiple digital platforms
- Collaborate with internal/external contributors to curate stories for digital marketing channels
- Write copy for buying guides, social postings, internal newsletters, sales initiatives, etc.
- Manage an effective email workflow strategy
- Collaborate with sales team to brainstorm new ideas for content
- Regularly update and optimize existing content according to SEO best practices
- Prepare topics and write blog articles that cater to our target customers
- Monitor and track the performance of content through online tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, etc., responding to areas of high and low traffic accordingly
- Use data to inform decisions that will result in higher lead engagement from all levels of the sales funnel
- Monitor trends and themes impacting the furniture buying space for use in relevant content across all channels
- Effectively analyze data and present to upper management and sales teams in a coherent manner
- Engage authentically and promptly with social media posts and inquiries
- Manage videographer to plan and execute development of video and still photography needs
- Program and effectively optimize Google Ads, YouTube, Pinterest, and Meta ads to maximize campaigns for lead generation, traffic conversions, and brand awareness
- Analyze audience engagement and conversion data to inform ad spend allocations and ongoing optimizations. Regularly adjust bidding strategies, audience segmentation, and content delivery based on evaluation of performance analytics.
- Manage and optimize all aspects of the companys website to ensure seamless navigation, high engagement, and event conversions.
- Collaborate with the IT department to ensure proper backend hosting, functionality, and overall site performance.
- Identify and troubleshoot website fixes, addressing technical issues that impact user experience and overall site performance.
- Strong eye for creative elements that integrate content with brand standards, ensuring consistency in visuals, messaging, and storytelling across all marketing channels
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, English, Journalism, Public Relations, or related communications field
Experience: Prefer a minimum of 5+ years in a content marketing role or similar marketing, sales, or recruitment position
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Ability to think outside the box and generate original ideas for creative content, including effective storytelling and narrative, video, infographics, etc.
- Exemplify a strong sense of sales motivation to drive growth across the marketing and sales funnel
- Expertise implementing SEO best practices to write creative copy that includes effective keyword placement
- Experience in using CRM and CMS systems, specific experience with HubSpot and WordPress is an advantage
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience with creating and implementing social media engagement strategies and best practices
- Experience with tools including but not limited to: HubSpot, WordPress, Teams, Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Pinterest, Facebook Ads, and Google Ads
- Ability to work independently and execute on tasks in a timely manner
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Teams, Excel)
- Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
- Ability to design graphics, website pages, landing pages, etc. is strongly preferred
- Experience in the retail sales or furniture industry is a plus but not required
