Role Overview
We’re building out a dedicated creative production function and this role sits at the center of it.
As a Graphic Designer & Video Editor, you’ll own the production and quality assurance of creative output across multiple DTC brands, both static ad assets and video/UGC edits.
You’ll work alongside our AI design tools to review, refine, and elevate outputs before they reach clients, and you’ll edit UGC and other creator content to maximize performance.
This isn’t a pure execution role. We want someone who thinks like a performance marketer, understands what makes a DTC ad stop the scroll, and brings a creative point of view to every asset they touch.
Responsibilities Breakdown
Static Creative Design
- Review and refine static ad concepts across multiple brand clients — applying brand guidelines, adjusting copy, and re-prompting to reach a client-ready output
- Ensure static assets are on-brand, conversion-focused, and visually polished before delivery
- Own the creative QA step between AI output and client-facing delivery
Video & UGC Editing
- Edit UGC and seeded creator footage into high-performing short-form ad creatives (Meta, TikTok, YouTube)
- Build multiple creative variations per piece of footage — different hooks, CTAs, formats, and aspect ratios
- Add captions, brand typography, motion elements, and sound design as needed
- Identify the best cut points, hook opportunities, and product moments within raw creator content
Cross-Brand Creative Ops
- Manage creative deliverables across 20+ active brand accounts simultaneously, keeping quality consistent
- Consolidate all static and video editing currently handled by external contractors into one accountable role
- Contribute to how Kynship uses AI creative tooling — flag what works, what doesn’t, and help iterate
- Collaborate with Growth Strategists and Operations Specialists to align on creative priorities per brand
Experience
Required
- 3+ years of experience in graphic design and/or video editing in a DTC or performance marketing context (ex. UGC Content, Direct Response Static Ads)
- A portfolio that includes static and video paid ad creatives, built for conversion, not just aesthetics
- Hands-on DTC experience: you understand what performs on Meta and TikTok and can point to results
- Expert Skills in design and editing tools — Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, CapCut, or equivalent
- Strong visual instincts for typography, layout, and motion that translate to ad performance
- Ability to manage volume: you can move quickly without losing quality across multiple brands at once
- High ownership mentality — you flag issues, solve problems, and don’t wait to be told
Nice to Have
- Agency or multi-brand freelance experience (strongly preferred over single in-house brand background)
- Familiarity with AI creative tools such as Midjourney, Runway, CapCut, or similar
- Understanding of ad performance metrics (CTR, thumb-stop rate, hook rate, CVR) and how creative decisions affect them

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation
- Base Annual Salary: $65-80k DOE
- Bonus potential based on performance
