Our mission & journey
Our mission is to make insurance and benefits more accessible and delightful to this generation of employees. Kota was started in 2022 and has raised €7.6m from Europe’s top technology investors, including EQT Ventures, Northzone, Frontline and angels, including Job Van Der Voort of Remote.com, Romain Huet, formerly of Stripe, now Open AI, David Clarke formerly of Workday. Role Overview
We’re looking for a Senior Engineer to join the team behind Kota Embed, our developer products that powers embeddable UI components and unique way of embedding benefits into existing platforms like payroll and HRIS.
You’ll work with React, Remix.js, and other modern frameworks to build pixel-perfect, responsive, and scalable UIs. This role is ideal for someone who loves sweating the details, crafting great developer and user experiences, and writing clean, modern frontend code without slowing down the team and most importantly, shipping fast⚡️.

Our Hiring Process
We like to keep things simple and respectful of your time — here’s what you can expect:
Intro Chat (30 mins): A casual conversation with one of our founders to learn more about you, your experience, and what you’re looking for. We’ll also tell you more about Kota and the role.
Technical Interview (60–90 mins)
A collaborative coding challenge and a discussion about your technical expertise. You’ll work through a real-world problem with some of our engineers, focusing on how you think, approach problem-solving, and write clean, maintainable code. We’ll also dive into technical topics relevant to the role, ensuring a good fit for both sides.
Final Chat (30–45 mins)
A conversation with our founders, focused on getting to know you as a person. How you think, what drives you, and whether we’re aligned in values and ways of working. It’s as much about culture fit as it is about mutual excitement.
That’s it. No take-home assignments. No endless rounds. Just a chance for both of us to get to know each other and see if it’s a good fit.
