Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a Construction Engineer; this is a REMOTE ROLE opportunity, with HIGH TRAVEL (up to 80%. )

• REQUIRED: This company is seeking candidates with at least 4 years of Active Duty US military experience. ***

Shipboard installation experience (removal & new installations of LM500s on ships) required. Former Gas Turbine Technicians ideal.

** Road Warriors needed: 60% travel within CONUS, ~40% International ****

Compensation: $95,000-105,000 base

What You Will Do:**

Travel to customer power plants throughout the US and/or internationally to perform installation of large turbines, generators, and related equipment. Growth into the area of field commissioning of systems is possible over time.

• Supervise mechanical installation crews of large turbines, generators, and related equipment; participate in and lead a safe job environment, serving as the primary jobsite contact.
• Coordinate and manage the timing of material received on site, as necessary.
• Complete and submit detailed reports summarizing job activity.
• Work directly with customer and craft to ensure the correct implementation of product.
• Review complex task plans, schedules, drawings, and installation schematics and provide continual mentorship throughout task duration as well as lead and direct subcontractors to perform specific maintenance related tasks.

Education and Work Experience**

• At least 4 years of Active Duty US Military experience required.
• 5+ years of experience with Power Plant or equivalent environment highly preferred.
• Mechanical background required; must be able to read drawings and schematics necessary for the installation of equipment.
• Shipboard installation experience (removal & new installations of LM500s on ships) required; Gas Turbine Technicians ideal.
• Willingness for domestic and international travel (up to 80%.)
