We have an an immediate opening for a Data Scientist that is fully remote and operates on PST and CST. It is a contract opportunity paying 48-58/hr.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertaking data collection, preprocessing and analysis
- Building models to address business problems
- Construct machine learning models for predictive analytics, classification, and clustering
- Optimize algorithms for scalability, efficiency, and real-world applicability
- Presenting information using data visualization techniques
- Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
- Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
- Build and optimize data workflows in Python and PySpark within Databricks notebooks.
- Leverage GPT/LLM-based techniques for coding assistance, automation, and intelligent reporting enhancements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Health Informatics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist (or similar role) with end-to-end model ownership.
- Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, and Databricks notebooks.
- Advanced SQL skills with experience handling large-scale healthcare or operational data.
- Proven ability to create reusable, well-documented notebook workflows for analysis, reporting, and automation.
- Demonstrated experience applying GPT/LLM tools to accelerate coding, validation, and AI workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Data Science or another quantitative field
- Certifications in data science, machine learning, or related fields (e.g., Certified Databricks AI/ML, Analytics, or Engineering).
- Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python or R.
- Experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries.
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques and frameworks.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
