(Senior) Business Developer/Architect (m/f/d) - Portugal/Irland/USA/Remote

  • We are hiring a hands‑on Business Architect to lead our pharma software innovation projects from idea to go-to-market and growth. You are driving our innovation activities through structuring and delivering innovation projects, creating business plans, validating market opportunities, and executing next steps as a founder‑like operator. You will work hand-in-hand with the project and product teams to define MVPs, creating roadmaps, and working with designers and engineers to ship and test early versions.
  • You are working at the intersection of strategy, business development and product delivery. The ideal hire is entrepreneurial, comfortable with ambiguity, excels at structured thinking and rapid experimentation, and can translate hypotheses into measurable plans and outcomes.
  • Reports to: VP Innovation
  • Team context: This is a senior, cross‑functional, hands‑on role that will collaborate with design, product, engineering, sales, finance and external partners and customers.

Your role in our team

  • Project architecture & governance

  • Design clear project frameworks (objectives, success metrics, milestones, governance) for each innovation initiative.

  • Create roadmaps and decision points (build/kill/scale) and drive project cadence (sprints, reviews, steering committees).

  • Business modeling & planning

  • Build business cases, revenue models, unit economics and go‑to‑market strategies.

  • Prepare investor‑quality decks, financial scenarios, and 12–36 month growth plans.

  • Identify strategic partners, channels, and customers; negotiate pilots and early commercial agreements.

  • Recommend and execute scaling plans or hand‑offs to business units.

  • Customer & market validation

  • Run interviews, experiments, and market tests to validate problem/solution fit and customer willingness to pay.

  • Define and monitor validated learning loops (hypotheses → experiments → insights).

  • Product & delivery

  • Define MVP scope and success criteria; prioritize features and manage backlogs when acting as product lead.

  • Coordinate with product and engineering to launch prototypes, pilots, and early releases.

  • Execution & stakeholder management

  • Lead cross‑functional teams without direct authority; keep stakeholders aligned and informed.

  • Report progress, risks and next steps to senior leadership; make data‑driven recommendations.

  • People & process

  • Mentor newer innovation team members; help shape processes for ideation, incubation and scale.

Your profile

  • 3-5 years experience in roles combining strategy, product and operations (startup founder/early‑stage product manager, strategy consultant, corporate innovation, or VC/venture builder).
  • Proven track record launching or scaling new products/businesses — ideally with responsibility for business models, P&L thinking, or early sales.
  • Strong quantitative skills: financial modeling, unit economics, KPI design and analysis.
  • Product competency: experience defining MVPs, writing user stories, prioritizing backlogs, and working with engineering/design teams.
  • Comfortable running experiments and interpreting results (A/B, cohorts, qualitative feedback).
  • Entrepreneurial, bias to action, and resilient in ambiguity.
  • Excellent communicator: can synthesize complex ideas into clear decisions and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Customer‑obsessed and outcome-oriented
  • Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience in digital transformation in pharma is a plus

Your Benefits

  • A high level of autonomy and freedom to make your projects successful.
  • Opportunities to lead the future products of KPHS.
  • A collaborative, mission-driven environment where your voice matters.
  • The chance to shape the digitization of pharma and life sciences.
