About the Role
We are looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to join our team. This role supports a leading organization in the Geospatial & 3D Technologies industry. The project is based in the United States and focuses on developing mission-critical applications and tools that leverage aerial imaging, machine learning, and geospatial data.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering cutting-edge 3D and geospatial web-based applications and scalable backend capabilities. You will collaborate with distributed teams across the U.S. and India, contributing both technically and through mentoring less experienced engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Technical
- Design, implement, and deliver backend and web-based applications using geospatial and 3D computational geometry technologies
- Contribute to technical initiatives from design to delivery and ongoing support
- Participate in design sessions and simplify complex requirements into scalable solutions
- Perform code reviews and enforce best engineering practices
- Ensure high quality through test-driven development and a strong focus on scalability and performance
- Drive innovation through reusable components and services
- Collaborate on feature and roadmap planning with clearly defined deliverables and success criteria
Leadership
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers
- Assist in hiring processes and onboarding new team members
- Promote a high-quality, software craftsmanship culture
- Communicate clearly and frequently to maintain alignment across a global team
- Foster a collaborative, multicultural, and inclusive environment
Basic Qualifications
- Intermediate/Advanced English skills with strong communication abilities
- Self-motivated, quick learner, and adaptable to both new technologies and legacy systems

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in software development (C++, JavaScript, Golang, Python, or similar)
- Solid understanding of 2D/3D computational geometry.
- Knowledge of matrix operations, projections, and spatial algorithms.
- Familiarity with geospatial standards (e.g., STAC, GeoTIFF).
- Hands-on experience with geospatial data processing.
- Experience using libraries like PCL, Open3D, OpenGL, Eigen.
- Built or worked on 3D reconstruction, image-based modeling, or GIS visualization.
- Experience integrating or visualizing drone or aerial imagery.
- Experience with multi-threaded and CPU-intensive application development.
- Experience converting research prototypes into scalable, production-level cloud software.
- Experience building Single Page Applications (React, Svelte, Vue.js, etc.) is a plus.
- Exposure to distributed systems and cloud-native architecture is a plus.
