Kopius is an innovative IT company at the forefront of software development. We are seeking a The project is within the Digital Agriculture industry and is based in San Francisco, CA. The team develops a platform that examines weather, soil and field data to help farmers determine potential yield-limiting factors in their fields.

About the team

This project at Kopius is composed of nearly 100 engineers, divided into several specialized areas: web development, back-end systems, data analysis, and mobile applications, among others. This diverse expertise allows us to innovate and deliver high-quality solutions effectively.

Each team is highly collaborative, working together to solve complex challenges and taking ownership of different aspects of the product.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of an agile team to develop applications in AWS platform to provide capabilities needed to onboard business models.
• Collaborate with other developers, Product Managers, designers and SMEs, owning all aspects of product development from requirement gathering, coding, testing and deployment.
• Develop required applications and supporting them in DevOps model.
• Work with product manager and stakeholders to analyze user stories.
• Participate in team activities to estimate and plan sprints.
• Implement stories and work with team to meet sprint goals.
• Write unit tests and contribute to ongoing testing needs.
• Ongoing support of capabilities following DevSecOps practices.
• Work as part of an agile team to develop applications in AWS platform to provide capabilities needed to onboard business models.

Basic Qualifications

• Intermediate/Advanced English skills with strong communication abilities.
• Self-motivated, quick learner, and adaptable to new technologies and legacy systems.
• Thrives in a team environment, actively contributes to collaboration, fostering a sense of community.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to issue resolution. Embraces new ideas to enhance problem-solving processes.

Requirements

• 5 to 7 years of experience in the IT field working with React.js, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon RDS instances on AWS.
• Skilled in NoSQL database services, particularly DynamoDB.
• Knowledgeable in AWS services such as SNS and SQS.
• Experienced in developing with AWS Lambda.
• Proficient in managing Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS).
• Experience with AWS CloudWatch for monitoring and logging.
• Expertise in architecture and deployment using AWS CloudFormation.
• Familiar with Material Design principles and implementation.

• Microservices architecture experience.
