Kitchen Tune-Up and Bath Tune-Up are seeking a freelance kitchen and bathroom designer to work on an as-needed basis.

This is a remote, work from anywhere position.

Kitchen Tune-Up and Bath Tune-Up are national franchise systems of committed professionals. Franchise locations update kitchens and bathroom across the United States and Canada, utilizing customer service Trustpoints to make the remodeling experience fun, with little to no hassle for homeowners.

Key Responsibilities

• Create accurate, aesthetically pleasing kitchen and bathroom layouts using 3D design software (e.g., 2020 Design, ProKitchen,)
• Ensure all designs align with Kitchen Tune-Up and Bath Tune-Up product offerings and brand standards
• Consultations with franchise owners may be necessary but not required.

Project Support

• Provide detailed floor plans, elevation drawings, and product selections to support the franchisee’s sales and installation processes
• Revise and adjust designs based on franchise feedback

Collaboration & Communication

• Maintain timely and professional communication with franchise owners and the Home Office team members
• Participate in periodic design team meetings or training sessions as needed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in residential kitchen design
• Proficiency in kitchen design software (2020 or ProKitchen preferred)
• Strong understanding of cabinetry, kitchen and bathroom layouts, space planning, and finish materials
• Experience working with remodeling or franchised systems is a plus
• Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret and create technical drawings and specifications
• Access to required design software and hardware for remote work
• Familiarity with NKBA guidelines and codes is preferred
