About the Role
This position will suit an entrepreneurial Product Marketing Manager who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves wearing multiple hats. You’ll own everything around the product — from developing the go-to-market (GTM) strategy to identifying target audiences, selecting the right marketing channels, enabling sales, and even influencing product decisions through customer insights.
This is more than a marketing role. It’s about being a true product advocate — internally and externally.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own the GTM Strategy: Shape and execute the GTM plans for current and future API products.
- Understand the Audience: Identify and profile target customer segments, understand their pain points, and shape messaging that resonates.
- Create Compelling Product Stories: Build narratives that connect technical functionality with real-world benefits, tailored to developers, product teams, and business leaders.
- Work Hand-in-Hand with Product: Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to refine the roadmap, ensuring that together you are solving the right problems for the right people.
- Influence Product Development: Use customer insights and competitive analysis to recommend product changes and enhancements.
- Enable Sales: Provide the sales team with the tools, messaging, and training they need to close deals — pitch decks, FAQs, battle cards, one-pagers, and more.
- Manage Product Communications: From launch announcements to lifecycle communications, ensure messaging is consistent and impactful.
- Roll Up Your Sleeves: In a scale-up, no task is too big or too small. You’ll be the driver and the doer.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven Experience in a Product Marketing Manager role, specifically working on an API-first product.
- Deep Understanding of the product lifecycle — from development through to marketing, sales, and support.
- Track Record of collaborating with Product Managers to shape the roadmap and customer experience.
- Ownership Mentality — you’ve worked in smaller teams or startups and are used to managing the full product marketing stack.
- Strategic Thinking combined with tactical execution — you can zoom in and out effortlessly.
- Storytelling Ability — you can turn technical features into human stories that sell.
- Commercial Instincts — you know how to spot opportunities, validate them quickly, and act on data.
