Manager, React/WordPress (Marketing)

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Manager, React/WordPress (Marketing) in San Diego, CA. Responsibilities:

• Team Management: Oversee a team of 3, ensuring effective execution of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and participation in governance activities; Provide high-level delivery oversight
• Hands-On Involvement: Engage in hands-on activities 50-70% of the time, particularly with the marketing team
• Enterprise Integration: Integrate into enterprise processes and structured governance frameworks
• Release Management: Manage release processes, including approvals for requirements, testing, and final release
• Coordination: Work closely with infrastructure teams to facilitate their needs
• Supervisory Role: Provide supervisory support without extensive performance management or hiring responsibilities; Support will be provided for these tasks
• Design and Implementation: Design and implement new features and functionality
• Website Architecture: Establish and guide the website's architecture
• Performance and Availability: Ensure high-performance and availability, managing all technical aspects of the CMS
• Responsive Design: Help formulate an effective, responsive design and turn it into a working theme
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the design team to ensure a cohesive user experience
• Web Development: Develop and maintain responsive web applications using vanilla JavaScript, React, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and Typescript
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Optimization: Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of experience in a software development or front-end developer role in a corporate environment
• Experience designing and developing responsive websites
• Experience with WordPress engine
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
• Understanding of WordPress and WordPress templates
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
• Strong proficiencies in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
• Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent styles across platforms and browsers
• Ability to convert comprehensive layouts and wireframes from Figma and Adobe into working HTML pages

Nice To Have

• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS services such as EC2, CloudWatch, etc.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
