Learn more about what we do.

About The Team

You will join a highly specialized engineering team focused on advanced meshing technologies for simulation and CAE workflows. The team develops core mesh generation capabilities used across complex engineering applications including crash simulation, casting, welding, stamping, and other computational engineering domains.

Working in a collaborative international environment, you will partner closely with software engineers, computational scientists, and domain experts across multiple locations. The team values strong technical ownership, algorithmic thinking, software quality, and continuous innovation.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Meshing Algorithm Engineer with strong expertise in 2D and 3D mesh generation algorithms and high-performance C++ software development.

In this role, you will contribute to the design, enhancement, and optimization of advanced meshing technologies used in engineering simulation workflows. You will work on sophisticated geometry-processing and mesh-generation challenges, helping improve mesh quality, robustness, scalability, and automation capabilities.

This role is ideal for engineers passionate about computational geometry, CAE software, simulation technologies, and complex algorithm development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize advanced algorithms for:

  • 2D surface meshing (triangular and quad-dominant meshes)

  • 3D volume meshing (hexa-dominant, tetrahedral, and hybrid meshes)

  • Mesh refinement, coarsening, smoothing, morphing, and offsetting

  • Enhance and maintain a large-scale C/C++ meshing codebase with focus on performance, scalability, and robustness

  • Design meshing workflows and strategies for simulation-driven engineering applications

  • Improve CAD-to-mesh conversion processes, geometry cleanup, and mesh adaptation techniques

  • Analyze and resolve complex meshing quality and topology challenges

  • Collaborate with global engineering teams on software design, debugging, validation, and testing

  • Drive features end-to-end from concept and implementation through testing and delivery

  • Contribute to software quality, coding standards, and automated testing practices

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Computational Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field
  • Strong industrial experience developing 2D and/or 3D meshing algorithms
  • Strong C/C++ software development experience
  • Experience working with unstructured meshing techniques and computational geometry concepts
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience working with complex engineering or simulation software systems

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of meshing methods such as Advancing Front, Delaunay, Paving, or Mapping techniques

  • Experience with:

  • Quad-dominant and all-tria surface meshing

  • Hexa-dominant and tetrahedral volume meshing

  • Variable-size and adaptive meshing

  • Understanding of CAD representations and geometry modeling

  • Experience with mesh quality metrics and topology optimization

  • Exposure to simulation domains such as Crash, NVH, Casting, Welding, or Stamping

  • Experience with parallel computing or meshing parallelization

  • Python scripting and automated testing experience

  • Familiarity with DOE, optimization, or statistics is a plus
