Token Marketing Manager

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Positioning & Market Intelligence

• Continuously monitor market cycles and sentiment to time campaigns, announcements, and narratives for maximum impact.
• Stay deeply informed on restaking trends, competing protocols, and broader macro signals to fine-tune positioning.

Narrative Development & Community Influence

• Craft compelling narratives tailored to KOLs, alpha groups, and DeFi power users that clearly articulate the value of $KERNEL and KernelDAO’s restaking flywheel.
• Source, onboard, and manage relationships with key KOLs, alpha groups, and crypto-native communities.
• Equip influencers with content, talking points, and campaign support aligned with broader marketing goals.

Campaign Execution & Ecosystem Awareness

• Lead end-to-end campaigns focused on educating users about $KERNEL’s utility and the KernelDAO ecosystem (Kernel, Kelp, Gain).
• Partner with exchanges, wallets, and ecosystem players to drive awareness and adoption through listings, airdrops, and co-marketing.
• Source and activate organic PR opportunities around milestones, use cases, protocol growth, and integrations.

Community Engagement

• Collaborate closely with the community team to nurture token holder relationships and increase retention and advocacy.
• Drive grassroots marketing, meme culture, and activation events that resonate with on-chain users.

Performance Analytics & Optimization

• Set clear KPIs and continuously measure the impact of token-related initiatives: user acquisition, transaction volume, token velocity, and engagement.
• Track ROI across marketing channels (organic + paid) and optimize spend for cost-effective growth.
• Leverage tools like Dune, Nansen, Google Analytics, and internal dashboards to evaluate campaign performance and inform strategy.

Cross-Functional & Partner Alignment

• Work alongside product, BD, growth, and dev rel teams to align token marketing with protocol milestones and technical launches.
• Coordinate token-related initiatives such as staking expansions, validator campaigns, and rewards programs.

Requirements

• Proven 3-4 years of experience in token or crypto marketing, ideally in DeFi, LSTs/restaking, or similar Web3 verticals.
• Deep understanding of tokenomics, Web3 user behavior, and the role of influencers and alpha groups in narrative shaping.
• Demonstrated success managing influencer campaigns, KOL/alpha community activations, and partnership promotions.
• Data-driven mindset and ability to optimize based on performance analytics.
• Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, async, remote-first environment.
• Passionate about decentralization and the future of staking.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience leading token growth at a prominent Web3 or DeFi protocol.
• Familiarity with restaking protocols, validator networks, and staking ecosystems.
• Knowledge of community-led growth, growth hacking, and guerrilla marketing in Web3.
