Executive Summary

We are seeking a strategic, resourceful, and high-performing Senior Applications Engineer to join our client’s People Applications team. In this full stack, technical role, you will partner directly with People leadership, business stakeholders, and cross-functional technology teams to design, build, and support powerful applications and microservices that enable talent acquisition, engagement, and retention at scale. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals, cloud experience, and outcomes-focused project management, excelling in a fast-paced, collaborative, and continually changing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full stack tools and applications supporting People strategy and experience
• Work closely with business partners to align technology products with operational strategies and deliver exceptional user experiences
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Analysts, Data Engineers, and Application Engineers on innovative projects
• Identify opportunities for technical and process improvements leveraging your technical and business knowledge
• Troubleshoot, configure, test, and deploy applications to meet requirements, timelines, and execution standards
• Provide training and support to end-users and team members on new processes and functionality
• Ensure application scalability, stability, performance, and security across services and systems

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• 5+ years of software development experience, ideally in HR/people-related applications
• Advanced proficiency in Python (including FastAPI framework), JavaScript/HTML5/CSS3, React.js
• Experience with database technologies (e.g., Postgres) and advanced SQL/PLSQL query development and optimization
• Strong foundation in computer science and engineering, including algorithms, data structures, databases, design patterns, and virtualization
• Experience building large-scale microservices and applications using cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Demonstrated ability to improve efficiency, scalability, security, and system reliability
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with remote global teams
• High ownership mindset, outcomes-oriented, and comfortable driving multiple projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment
