Position: Software Engineer III - .NET Core API Expert

Duration: Until Aug/2026

W2 Contract (No C2C)

Pay rate: $80 per hour

Job Description

Perform software engineering tasks as part of a team, following standard engineering techniques and the SDLC, under close supervision.

Primary Responsibilities

• Application Development: Develop C# and .NET Core API applications; write unit tests with X/NUnit and AutoFixture; debug and troubleshoot issues.
• Data Access & Integration: Build data access layers using Core API and OData; integrate data via ETL processes; map data with AutoMapper.
• Database Development: Design, develop, and maintain MySQL databases, including schema, tables, queries, and stored procedures.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Document processes; collaborate with cross-functional teams; participate in technical reviews.
• Technical Support & Design Improvement: Investigate support issues and recommend design improvements for performance and data integrity.

Essential Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of .NET Core API and ASP.NET Core framework.
• Strong software engineering principles, SDLC knowledge, and Agile/Scrum experience.
• Expertise in MySQL database design, queries, and high availability setups.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Desired Skills

• Experience with OData, AutoMapper, Autofac.
• Hands-on unit testing with X/NUnit and AutoFixture.

Education & Experience

• B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience.
