Role Summary:

We are looking for a hands-on Software Solutions Architect to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable backend systems. This role requires deep expertise in modern cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and real-time data processing. As the technical lead, you will drive architectural decisions and mentor engineers while remaining actively involved in code, design, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect Scalable Systems:
Design and document robust, high-performance, cloud-native solutions using AWS, Docker, and microservices architecture.
Lead Technical Execution:
Guide development teams through technical decisions, sprint planning, code reviews, and deployments.
Integrate Distributed Systems:
Architect and implement asynchronous workflows using Kafka, AWS SQS, and other messaging systems.
Data Access & Processing:
Optimize query performance and data access using Trino (Presto) in distributed data environments.
DevOps & Infrastructure:
Define infrastructure-as-code, containerization strategies, and deployment pipelines for high availability and reliability.
Mentor & Guide Engineers:
Provide architectural direction, enforce engineering best practices, and help upskill the team.
Ensure Quality & Reliability:
Promote secure coding practices, performance monitoring, and fault-tolerant system design.

Programming Languages & Runtime:
JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js
Cloud Platform:
AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudFormation or Terraform)
Containerization & Orchestration:
Docker, ECS or EKS
Messaging & Event Streams:
Apache Kafka, AWS SQS
Data & Query Layer:
Trino (Presto), distributed SQL engines
Observability & Monitoring:
CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus (or similar tools)

Technical Qualifications:

7+ years of backend software development experience, including 2+ years in a technical leadership or architecture role
Proven experience designing and deploying distributed, cloud-based systems at scale
Expertise in AWS core services, including serverless and containerized architectures
Deep understanding of event-driven architecture, stream processing, and asynchronous messaging systems
Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD practices and DevOps workflows
Strong proficiency with system design, performance optimization, and debugging complex production issues
