Senior Software Engineer (Node/Typescript)

Summary

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to support the development of a high-performance commerce platform operating in the retail and post-purchase services space. This role is ideal for someone who is highly skilled in Node.js and TypeScript, and who enjoys building reliable, scalable backend systems. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver well-architected APIs and cloud-native applications while contributing to strong engineering practices and documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript.

- Build, optimize, and document scalable RESTful APIs and services.

- Work with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to implement and manage infrastructure and data solutions.

- Deploy, manage, and scale applications using Kubernetes.

- Collaborate with frontend teams and other engineering teammates to drive high-quality delivery in an agile environment.

- Participate in code reviews and help define backend best practices and standards.

Core Requirements:

- Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.

- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure Cloud).

- Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes.

- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and documentation.

- Experience with Git-based workflows and modern development practices.

- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in distributed teams.

Nice to Have:

- Experience with React.

- Experience with security best practices or implementations.
