Who we are looking for:

Truwear is a fast-growing, innovative apparel company focused on merging functionality, comfort, and style for modern professionals. Our team is passionate about pushing the boundaries of fashion with performance-driven materials and cutting-edge design. We are seeking a talented Senior Graphic Designer with a strong background in apparel and/or fashion to join our team. This role will play a pivotal part in the creative design and execution of graphics across all product categories, with a focus on elevating the Truwear brand. The ideal candidate is a creative visionary and expert technician with deep proficiency in the Adobe Suite—especially Adobe Illustrator.

Responsibilities:

- Apparel Graphics Creation: Design compelling graphics, patterns, motifs, and prints for a variety of apparel types, ensuring alignment with seasonal trends and Truwear’s brand identity.

- Collaboration: Work closely with the product and marketing teams to translate concepts into finished graphics for production, web, social, and packaging.

- Technical Execution: Set up production-ready files, color separations, print specifications, and tech packs; communicate effectively with vendors and manufacturers.

- Brand Consistency: Maintain and improve the consistency of branding and visual presence across all formats—online, in print, and on garments.

- Trend Research: Stay up to date with industry trends, color palettes, and graphic techniques relevant to modern, performance-focused apparel.

- Project Management: Oversee multiple projects from concept through execution, ensuring quality and timeliness in a fast-paced environment.

- Mentorship: Provide guidance and feedback to junior designers as needed.

Requirements:

Adobe Creative Suite Expertise

• Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign (After Effects a plus)

Illustrator Skills

• Logo/graphic vectorization (converting raster images into clean, scalable vectors)

• Typography (kerning, tracking, custom lettering, creating outlines)

• Color management (Pantones, CMYK/RGB differences, print prep-pantones)

• Tech pack creation (artwork placements, fabric/trim specifications)

• Exporting production files (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF for print/manufacturers)

• Applying correctly scaled logos and graphics to garments

Photoshop Skills

• Background removal and object isolation (masks, selection tools, pen tool)

• Creating realistic apparel/product mockups

• Image compositing and blending (layer masks, opacity, blending modes)

InDesign Skills

• Multi-page document setup with master pages and grids for consistency

• Layout design for product listings (images, descriptions, pricing)

• Paragraph and character styles for uniform typography

• Placing and managing linked images (high-res product shots, logos)

• Using tables for size charts, pricing, or product comparisons

• Prepping files for print (bleeds, crop marks, high-res export)

Apparel-Specific Knowledge

• Screen printing, embroidery, Direct-to-Garment (DTG), Direct-to-Film (DTF), heat press, Vinyl Heat Transfer, cut-and-sew processes and understanding how artwork must be set up for each production method

• Trend forecasting and seasonal collection awareness

• Creation of production-ready artwork and tech packs

Professional & Workflow Skills

• Strong attention to detail in scaling, placement, and color accuracy

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects

• Experience with large-format design (banners, posters, backdrops)

• File preparation and optimization for different uses/sizes
