Part-Time Graphic Designer

Job Title: Part-Time Graphic Designer (Contract – 6 Months)

Hours: 20 hours per week Location: Fully Remote Contract Duration: 6 months Compensation: $30/hour

We are seeking a Part-Time Graphic Designer to join Kahania Consulting, a non-profit focused public relations agency, on a 6-month contract basis with opportunity for growth. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and innovative designer with strong visual storytelling skills and experience creating compelling designs across digital and print platforms. This position is fully remote, offering flexibility while collaborating closely with our communications and marketing teams.

About Kahania Consulting

Kahania Consulting is a BIPOC-led public relations agency dedicated to amplifying the voices and stories of non-profit organizations throughout the greater Chicago area. As a growing agency in its early stages, we are seeking a creative professional who can help shape our visual identity by developing materials aligned with our brand guidelines. This role will involve designing a range of assets, including website elements, pitch decks, proposals and promotional materials for conferences and networking events.

Key Responsibilities

• Design visually engaging graphics for digital campaigns, social media, presentations and print materials.
• Ensure all creative assets align with brand guidelines and messaging goals.
• Collaborate with CEO/Founder directly to translate project briefs into effective visual concepts.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Provide input on design strategy and creative direction when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional graphic design experience (agency or in-house preferred).
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Canva, Wix and SquareSpace.
• Strong understanding of layout, typography, color theory and visual hierarchy.
• Experience designing for both print and digital platforms including website
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality design.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven communications.
• Familiarity with website editing and graphics such as Wix and SquareSpace.
• Familiarity with motion graphics tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, After Effects) is a plus.
• Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles
