About the Role

Are you a data-driven performance marketer with a passion for e-commerce, SaaS, and the Shopify ecosystem? We are seeking a Performance Marketing Lead to take full strategic and operational ownership of our marketing setup from Day 1.

In this role, you will build and scale our performance marketing engine across multiple paid channels (Google Ads, Shopify Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Content Syndication) to drive high-converting B2B leads and installs for our Shopify app portfolio. You will establish transparent, documented marketing systems, run hypothesis-led experiments, and lay the foundation for a future marketing team that you will lead within 12 to 24 months.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Channel Ownership: Build, manage, and optimize all paid channels, including Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Shopify Ads, and Content Syndication.
• Lead Generation & MQL Conversion: Funnel qualified B2B traffic to our Shopify App listings, turning visitors into app installs and long-term customer relationships.
• Process & System Building: Establish mature, transparent marketing processes, full documentation, clear KPIs, and transferable workflows.
• Scientific & Data-Driven Approach: Operate with a hypothesis-led methodology—formulate, test, measure, and iterate relentlessly.
• Tracking & Attribution: Set up and maintain robust tracking, analytics, and reporting dashboards using GA4, GTM, and Looker Studio (or similar).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product and Customer Success teams on feature releases, cross-selling, and upselling campaigns.
• Team Leadership Path: Prepare for future organizational growth with the goal of building and leading a dedicated marketing team within 1–2 years.

Your Profile

Must-Haves:

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in performance marketing (ideally 4–7 years) managing multiple paid channels within e-commerce, B2B SaaS, or the Shopify ecosystem.
• Core Channel Expertise: Proven track record in operating Google Ads & LinkedIn Ads for B2B lead generation with an MQL focus.
• Data & KPI Focus: You speak fluent numbers (CPL, CAC, ROAS, conversion rates, traffic volume) and base decisions on quantitative evidence.
• Process Mastery: Demonstrated ability to build, document, and scale marketing processes rather than just executing isolated tasks.
• Tech Stack: Hands-on experience with CRM & Marketing Automation (e.g., HubSpot) and analytics/tracking systems (GA4, GTM, Looker Studio).
• Languages: Native/fluent German (C2 level) is required to target the DACH market effectively.
• Remote Independence: Strong self-management skills and high accountability in a fully remote environment.
• Offsite Availability: Willingness to travel for 2 team offsite events per year (2–3 days each).

Nice-to-Haves:

• Direct experience with Shopify App Store marketing.
• Background in Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, or Customer Lifecycle Management.
• Initial team leadership experience or proven leadership potential.

• Base Salary: €68,000 gross p.a.
• Variable Bonus: €12,000 p.a. target

• Salary Adjustments for EU Locations: While hiring candidates based across the European Union is permitted, the originally targeted German salary cannot be applied to all EU locations. Compensation will be adjusted according to local market rates.
