Backend Developer (NodeJS or Java) (€30K - €50K)

One of the companies we collaborate with at Joppy, a TOP IT Consultancy, is looking for a Software Engineer with Typescript/Node or Java experience for one of their most exciting international projects.

👀 What are we looking for?

• Deep understanding of one (or more) of the following languages: Typescript / Node.JS, Java, Python
• Experience implementing and using RESTful APIs
• Experience implementing event-driven or queue-driven services
• Experience with hosting technologies such as: Docker, Kubernetes, Lambda
• Experience developing software using an Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodology
• Experience with source control, build systems, and testing tools.
• Experience with AWS, or other cloud technologies
• Experience with Relational Databases (Postgres) or Cache Databases (Redis)
• B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

🙌 Desirable Skills:

• 3+ years of experience developing and working with AWS services like RDS, Lambda, Kinesis, ECS, SQS
• Knowledge of CI/CD and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
• Experience developing in an OSX environment

💻 Responsibilities:

• ·Write code to implement software services, alongside other members of the software engineering team
• Primarily responsible for enhancing current functionality and developing new functionality, based on current and future needs
• Coordinates with QA to discover and resolve defects
• Amend technical specifications
• Participates in developing, testing, and deploying clean code in a DevOps environment
• Provide occasional on-call emergency coverage, including during weekends
• Performs other duties as required
