The Marketing Manager is responsible for strategic and tactical marketing activities with a focus on account-based marketing and will be accountable to develop and execute a strategy for commercial growth within the target segments. You must have the capability to build strong internal and external customer relationships and work cross-departmentally, driving the initiatives and achieving the company goals through networking and teamwork, leading the marketing team to target achievement. The Marketing Manager is expected to be autonomous, making good strategic decisions with minimal supervision and will establish solid model for account-based marketing for Cepheid Germany.

This position is part of the German Marketing Organization and will be located in remotely in Germany. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead the marketing activities for all product areas or marketing segments across the region to successfully achieve the targets with focus on account-based marketing for hospital/purchasing groups incl. Physical & virtual event organization
• Develop and execute a strategy for accelerated commercial growth within the target segments
• Establish a broad network of stakeholders across the target accounts
• Support the business needs of the German organisation with focus on revenue impact
• Drive ROI by try, measure, learn and identifying the right (leading) indicators

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Marketing and/or sales experience in Diagnostics or Device industries is a strong advantage
• Local network and knowledge of the key stakeholders in the market, including expertise with complex, multi-departmental healthcare sales are highly desired
• Excellent communication skills including verbal and written, and presentation skills required, along with a strong financial and business acumen
• Fluent in written and spoken German and English

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travel of up to 40% including overnight stays within territory
• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 20kg

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization, team environment and across an organisation to drive results
• Leadership and successful influence of internal and external customers, ranging from lab technicians to C-suite executives.
