What You Will Do

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, develop, and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable full-stack applications using the MEAN stack (or similar) within a cloud-hosted infrastructure.
  • Modernize and incrementally migrate legacy Java services to NodeJS.
  • Integrate applications with external systems and APIs using modern, secure, and efficient techniques.
  • Establish and implement automated testing frameworks and processes, ensuring robust code quality and reliability.
  • Utilize cloud services effectively, primarily Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and Amazon Web Services (AWS), to optimize application performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Business Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Engineering & DevOps to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and deliverables.
  • Provide clear, consistent, and transparent communication to stakeholders regarding development progress, risks, and solutions

General Responsibilities:

  • Endeavor to elevate the knowledge, skills, and abilities of yourself and others, fostering an inclusive, collaborative environment aiming to continuously grow and improve.
  • Regularly review and enforce coding standards, updating and improving technical standards as required.

What You Need (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 6+ years of proven full-stack development experience.
  • Extensive hands-on experience and understanding of best practices in web and server-side development. Proven experience with modern Web UI frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js) and Backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Java, or Python).
  • Proficiency in modern software development practices, including microservices architectures and API development.
  • Experience with Relational & NoSQL databases (MongoDB & PostgreSQL).
  • Proficiency with core front-end languages: HTML, CSS, TypeScript.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior cloud hosting experience, particularly with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
  • Prior experience working with real-time data streaming and analytics.
  • Experience leveraging and standardizing AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve developer productivity while maintaining code quality, security, and review standards.

$112,900 - $188,100 USD Annual

Travel Percentage: 10%
