Splunk Privacy/ML Developer

Our client is expanding its Cyber Risk Defense program and seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist and Python Developer with deep expertise in the Splunk Enterprise platform. This role focuses on developing advanced machine learning (ML) solutions to enhance privacy and compliance across clinical systems.

As a Splunk Privacy and Machine Learning Developer, you will:

Integrate and analyze complex data sources, including electronic medical records and clinical workflows. Expertise with custom data processing pipelines is preferred.

Build custom Splunk applications to detect privacy risks and support patient privacy initiatives within Splunk containers leveraging the Splunk AI Toolkit.

Contribute to enterprise-scale development leveraging machine learning concepts:

  • Applied ML modeling (feature engineering, retraining, tuning),
  • Production ML operations (monitoring, debugging, data quality), and
  • Domain reasoning (privacy, anomaly detection, interpretability).

Required Experience:

Active Splunk Enterprise Security Certified Admin or Splunk Core Certified Consultant credential.

Proven experience developing Splunk solutions in large-scale environments.

Building or maintaining anomaly detection models (especially LOF, Isolation Forest, Autoencoders, or similar unsupervised techniques).

Supervised learning using Random Forests, XGBoost, or logistic regression for classification tasks.

Hands-on work with feature engineering, data cleaning, encoding, and model validation.

Familiarity with model interpretability (SHAP, LIME, feature importance).

Practical understanding of precision/recall trade-offs and imbalanced datasets.

  • How many years of related experience are you looking for in your ideal candidate?: 5-10 years experience as a Splunk administrator/developer Any Required Certifications?: Active Splunk Enterprise Security Certified Admin or Splunk Core Certified Consultant credential.

The compensation range for this position is $75 to $85/hr W2

(dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
