The Senior Software Engineer supports our line of business operations by developing product
solutions using modern frameworks and technologies in accordance with industry and internal
company standards of software engineering.
Although this is a remote position the candidate must be located in the USA, sorry no sponsorship at this time.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, and deploy scalable, efficient, and reusable code
- Perform ad hoc analysis and troubleshooting to resolve issues with deployed systems
- Maintain documentation and source control
- Write code as part of a collaborative team, building APIs and frontend features that play a visible, critical role in our client s day-to-day operations
- Manage, define and break down tasks in an agile Kanban environment
- Mentor other team members
- Implement with some autonomy and architect solutions in collaboration with engineering leads
- Own the problem and scope solutions that line up with business objectives
- Provide rapid response to the needs of the team
Skills And Experience
- Strong experience with Python a MUST
- Experience with .NET, JavaScript, and JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React a plus
- Experience with relational and document data stores such as PostgreSQL or Firestore
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud providers
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, test, and develop solutions independently
- Ownership mindset and capable of self-managing tasks, scope and priorities focused on providing our customers with world class products and services
The Sr. Software Engineer must have strong SQL skills because our migration from .NET/SQL
to Python/Postgres is going to take quite a bit of SQL query building. Minimum requirements
that all candidates should demonstrate going forward:
- Minimum 4 years development experience. More if their degree is not in a Computer Science Field.
- Recent experience (the last year) developing in Python, preferably python Flask/Django APIs
- Minimum 2 years developing Python APIs
- Minimum 2 years experience hosting/supporting applications in the Cloud
- At least 3 years proven, hands on, SQL and relational database experience and supporting applications with Databases

- Build performant and scalable full-stack solutions to support new and existing products and features
- Play a key role in helping to re-platform and rebuild legacy systems
- Develop and maintain documentation for new and existing business logic in systems
- Develop an understanding of the business domain to better understand the role our software plays in the business
- Be active in the company Engineering community, performing code reviews and sharing knowledge
