Job Overview

We are hiring a Ranking Data Scientist with strong hands-on experience in machine learning and predictive modeling to support large-scale content ranking and recommendation systems. The role focuses on analyzing complex datasets, building ML models, and driving measurable improvements in engagement and product performance.

Required Skills (Must-Have)

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist / ML Scientist
• Hands-on experience building machine learning & predictive models
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow
• Experience with recommendation systems, ranking models, or feed optimization
• Strong background in experimentation / A/B testing
• Experience working with large-scale datasets
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Stakeholders)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Computer Vision or image/video-based models
• Background in Social Media, Content Platforms, or AdTech
• Prior experience with Meta / Facebook / Instagram
• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or related field

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize ML models for ranking and recommendation systems
• Perform exploratory data analysis on high-dimensional datasets
• Build and evaluate advanced algorithms to improve content engagement and shareability
• Design and analyze experiments (A/B testing)
• Partner with engineers to deploy models into production
• Monitor key metrics and conduct performance investigations
• Provide data insights, dashboards, and leadership reporting
• Support ad-hoc analytical and experimentation requests

Education

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field (PhD preferred)
• Equivalent practical experience will be considered
