QA Test Support-must have strong SQL and Excel, Prefer retail or supply chain or ecommerce background

Manager is looking for a QA support for a Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) system which came under her area.

Responsibilities:

• Quality Assurance (QA) support for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system

• Typical day in life will include the following:

• Review requirements which will be typically captured in Jira but may sometimes be shared in other formats

• Create a detailed test plan capturing applicable pre-conditions, test case description, steps to execute, expected results, etc.

• Review test plan draft with developer(s) and Product owner

• Prepare testing data

• Execute test plan

• Report any issues / bugs in Jira including details of what was expected vs what happened and attaching any supporting documentation

• Retest any previously reported issues to ensure everything works as expected

• Support downstream partners with data preparation for unrelated testing

• Support manual data entry / data cleansing on as needed basis

• Provide daily status updates of work completed and work in progress

• Work closely with the Product Owner to prioritize work as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a manual QA tester.
• Intermediate SQL and Excel skills.
• Ability to use Jira, Confluence and Google docs.
• Strong analytical problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong ability to understand technical issues and how to communicate them to non-technical team members and leadership.
• Ability to write clear, concise and thorough test plans.
• Ability to work independently and provide daily status updates to the leader in a timely manner.
• Self-starter who is both flexible and comfortable working through uncertainties to reach a conclusion.
• Ability to work on multiple tracks and switch back and forth between them.
• Mature, grounded, can serve as a resource to others.
• Open minded and not complacent; proactive; detail-oriented and organized.
• Positive attitude with an enthusiastic, can-do outlook.
• Ability to work 40h per week, regular hours 8:30-5:30 PT (with 1h break) and flex occasionally to start earlier or later.

Nice to Have Requirements:

• Knowledge of Centric 8 PLM system
• Experience in Retail, eCommerce or Supply Chain areas
