The Project Manager (PM) will plan and manage the execution of a project for Phase 2 of a multi-year ERP Project that is finishing the Discovery Phase. The Project is a large scale, enterprise-wide digital and business transformation project which includes, but is not limited to, upgrading subsidiary companies from SAP ECC to the S/4 version, enhancing and expanding the use of Salesforce and implementing Master Data Governance and a new Data & Analytics platform.
The PM will work closely with the Program Management Office to ensure that the project assigned to them is delivered on time, within budget, and within scope. The PM will work closely with a cross-functional team to ensure that the expected deliverables are completed with quality. The PM will be responsible for all project management documentation, management and escalation of issues, and producing timely status reports to review with project stakeholders. The Project Manager should possess strong leadership, communication, and time management skills.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field and at least 5 years of project management experience with IT software application implementations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, execute, control, and achieve closure of complex projects.
- Experience with Organizational and Operational Change Management
- Experience with a variety of project management methodologies such as waterfall and agile.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
- Excellent planning and organization, project management and time management skills.
- Experience working with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira.
- Strong problem solving and negotiation abilities.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
- Experience working with projects in an SAP environment preferred.
- Experience supporting S/4 greenfield implementations is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning A detailed plan will need to be developed to track progress of project deliverables.
- Communication: Facilitating communication among stakeholders, team members, and other relevant parties to ensure everyone is informed and aligned.
- Coordination A high level of coordination will be required to ensure that activities and meetings are scheduled, clear objectives are provided, and notes and action items are recorded and distributed.
- Time Management Meetings will require facilitation to ensure that goals are reached each day.
- Risk & Issue Management Risks and Issues will need to be tracked and as needed, reported to the PMO for mitigation or resolution.
- Documentation and Reporting: Meeting Notes will need to be taken and distributed, along with any action items. Status reports will be expected on a regular basis.
Other Requirements:
- Travel will be required for up to 50%, with a minimum of 25% (one week a month). Travel will be in the US only, in various locations as needed but usually to the Jackson, MS area.
