responsibilities:

• Drive the maintenance and strategic development of vital software and web applications within an SOA framework, directly impacting core business functions.
• Architect, develop, test, and implement sophisticated mainframe and integrated systems, ensuring seamless functionality and optimal performance.
• Spearhead the successful deployment of critical application enhancements, system conversions, and new installations.
• Partner closely with technical leaders, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into impactful technical solutions and provide ongoing support.
• Ensure the stability and operational continuity of production environments through proactive support and expert troubleshooting.
• Contribute to critical integrations with external vendor systems, including platforms for payment processing.
• Conduct in-depth research and evaluation of technology options to recommend and implement efficient and cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate with analysts to meticulously validate project requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Guarantee application quality and reliability through rigorous functional unit testing.
• Develop comprehensive technical designs and clear application functionality documentation.
• Actively participate in design and code reviews, contributing to best practices and future system planning.

qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum 6 years of experience implementing and managing software solutions.

• Minimum 4 years of experience designing and developing mainframe technical solutions.

• At least 2 years of hands-on programming in a mainframe environment (e.g., CICS, COBOL) using the project life cycle methodology.

• Experience with IBM z/OS environment tools and languages, including:

• COBOL, CICS, Assembler, Easytrieve, ISPF, VSAM, Endeavor, TSO, JCL, IBM Utilities

• Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) processes, including:

• Requirements gathering

• Functional and Technical Design documentation
