Database Developer

Description

We are looking for an experienced Database Developer to join our team in Chantilly, Virginia. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in designing and optimizing database systems, ensuring efficient data processing and reporting solutions. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a strong background in SQL-based technologies.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain database systems using Microsoft SQL Server and related technologies.

Create and optimize stored procedures and T-SQL scripts to improve data processing efficiency.

Implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data across various systems.

Analyze reporting requirements and design tailored database solutions to meet business needs.

Collaborate with team members to ensure data integrity and system reliability.

Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues and errors.

Perform regular database maintenance and updates to ensure optimal functionality.

Document database structures, processes, and workflows for future reference and scalability.

Stay up-to-date with emerging database technologies and best practices.

Provide technical support and guidance to stakeholders on database-related matters.

Requirements

Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft SQL technologies.

Expertise in writing and optimizing T-SQL scripts and stored procedures.

Strong knowledge of ETL processes and tools.

Ability to design efficient and scalable database solutions.

Familiarity with data reporting requirements and tools.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
